Teachers - Grade 2
My name is Marsha Turpin and I am one of the Grade 2 teachers at Dr. Clark School again this year. This is my sixth year teaching at Dr. Clark School and the eleventh year of my teaching career. I have taught a mixture of split and straight grade classes ranging from ECDP to Grade 4. I graduated with a Bachelor of Education from Memorial University of Newfoundland in 2009 and have completed two years of a joint Master’s in Instructional Leadership and Behavioural Neuroscience from the University of Calgary. My husband, Thomas, and I have a little girl named Hailey who is three years old. We are both from Newfoundland but have loved living in Alberta for the past 11 years.
I look forward to getting to know you and your child as we learn together this year. This year will look a little different but rest assured that we will still have fun learning together. It is my personal goal to create an environment that supports students' individual needs while doing challenging things and learning from our successes as well as our mistakes. I am so unbelievably happy to be back in class and look forward to an amazing year ahead!
