My name is Tamara Lesage and I am proud to be a Dr. Clark Dino! I am from Steinbach, Manitoba and received a Bachelor's Degree in Education from the University of Manitoba. I had the privilege of beginning my teaching career by living and working in Indigenous communities in Northern Manitoba and in the Northwest Territories. My favourite highlights include camping overnight with my grade one class, eating bannock on a stick around a campfire and learning traditional skills, such as smudging and checking a trapline. This will be my sixteenth year teaching in the Junior Skills classroom and I love the opportunity that I have been given to teach this program.
I have a true passion for working with our learners! Helping each child progress in all areas of their development—academic and social —is a challenge that I am honored to accept daily. I strive to create a community of learners that nurtures this growth in a positive, fun environment.
I am married and a fur momma to three very spoiled cats. I enjoy reading, hiking, biking, pumpkin spice lattes and spending time with friends and family.
“Every child deserves a champion—an adult who will never give up on them, who understands the power of connection and insists that they become the best that they can possibly be.” - Rita Pierson
